Nov 27, 2001 - Noam Gozovsky, 23, of Moshav Ramat Zvi was killed when two Palestinian terrorists from the Jenin area opened fire with Kalashnikov assault rifles on a crowd of people near the central bus station in Afula.

The two terrorists began firing near the Afula central bus station, then moved towards the market, firing in all directions as they went. The two gunmen were chased by policemen and soldiers and were shot dead.

Noam Guzovsky was raised in Ramat Zvi and served in the army in the Duvdevan unit. After completing his army service in the army, he spent a year traveling South America and the US, and returned to Israel just a day before the attack. He decided to spend the night at his girlfriend's at Tel-Aviv. On Tuesday morning he took a bus to Afula and was waiting for his friends to pick him up when he was shot and fatally wounded by the terrorists. "Today he was supposed to arrive home, but now he is no longer," said his father Natan. "Noam was a good child, he was handsome, successful, everyone loved him, and he was always surrounded by friends."

Noam's parents decided to donate his organs, saying that if this helped save lives, it would help to ease their loss.

Noam Guzovsky is survived by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
