Sept 12, 2001 - Ruth Shua'i, 46, of Alfei Menashe, was traveling home when shots were fired from a passing vehicle near the village of Habla near Kalkilya. She died en route to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba.

Ruth Shua'i was returning home with her husband around 19:30 PM after shopping for the New Year holiday in Kfar Sava when shots were fired from a passing vehicle. She sustained injuries to her head and stomach and died en route to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba. Her husband, Shlomo, who was driving, was hospitalized suffering from shock.

Ruth and Shlomo Shua'i moved to Alfei Menashe from Givatayim about 10 years ago with their two sons. Ruth worked as a hairdresser. Her sons were the center of her life.

Ruth Shua'i was buried in Kfar Sava. She leaves behind her parents, her husband Shlomo, and their two sons, Eran, 20, currently serving in the army, and Eyal, 17, a high school senior.
