Mar 4, 2001 - Yevgenya Malchin, 70, of Netanya was one of three people killed in a suicide bombing in downtown Netanya.

Yevgenya Malchin, a pediatrician by profession, immigrated to Israel from the Ukraine with her husband and only son 10 years ago, and settled in Netanya. After immigrating to Israel, she helped care for the elderly. Her son, Michael Waxman, related that she was probably shopping in the market on her way to work.

Yevgenya had lost her husband just one month ago, and was trying to cope the recent loss. The couple had been living for several years in a home for elderly immigrants in Netanya, where Yevgenya was loved by all.

Yevgenya Malchin is survived by her son. She was buried in Netanya.
