Marina Bazarskif

Nov 21, 2002 - Marina Bazarski, 46, of Jerusalem, was one of 11 people killed in a suicide bombing on a No. 20 Egged bus in the Kiryat Menahem neighborhood of Jerusalem.
The bomber, wearing a five-kilogram bomb belt packed with explosives and shrapnel, boarded the bus at approximately 7:00 A.M. on Mexico street in Kiryat Menahem. Before it reached the next stop, the terrorist, who was
standing in the front section of the bus, set off the bomb, killing 11 people and wounding about 50.
Marina Bazarski lived in a modest apartment in Jerusalem's Ir Ganim neigborhood with her husband Alexander and their two teenage boys. The family immigrated to Israel from Russia 10 years ago. Marina was on her way to her final day of work as an accountant in a factory at the Atarot industrial zone. On Sunday, she was to have begun a new job in Ma'ale Adumim. Although she had a new car, she was afraid to drive it to work since Atarot was the site of past stonings. As she did every day, she took the 7 A.M. bus from Ir Ganim and was killed.
Marina Bazarski was buried in the Givat Shaul cemetery in Jerusalem.
She is survived by her parents, her husband Alexander, and two teenage sons.
