Feiga Dushinski

Aug 19, 2003 - Feiga Dushinski, 50, of Jerusalem was one of 23 persons murdered by a suicide bomber on a No. 2 Egged bus in the capital's Shmuel Hanavi neighborhood.

The attack took place at about 9 p.m. as the bus was making its way from the Western Wall to several religious neighborhoods. The Hamas suicide bomber, apparently disguised as a religious Jew, boarded the bus and detonated his bomb shortly afterwards. Seven of those killed were children and over 130 people were wounded.

Feiga Dushinski was in the habit of praying every evening at the Western Wall. She was riding the bus home when the terrorist struck.

"She would pray for her troubles to go away, and would make requests for her family and for all the people of Israel," said her brother-in-law, Rabbi Yitzhak Dushinski. "She was a saint. Every Shabbat she and her husband, Mordechai, would host about 100 yeshiva boys in their home and feed them. She would help all the needy in the community and give her all. She was a woman filled with grace and good deeds and her home was wide open to visitors."

Feiga Dushinksi was buried in Jerusalem. She is survived by her husband.
