Elad Fogel

Mar 11, 2011 - Udi Fogel (36) and Ruth Fogel (35) along with three of their children Yoav, 11, Elad, 4, and 3-month-old Hadas were stabbed to death by terrorists in their home in Itamar, in northern Samaria.

Ruth, an assistant at the Te'ena preschool which Elad attended along with 29 other children, related that Elad had planned to dress up as General Moshe Dayan for the Purim holiday next week, and had asked his mother to buy him a black eye patch like Dayan's. One of the little girls in the class, with whom Elad would play as king as queen, found his death hard to understand and said: "I want to keep on playing with Elad."

Rabbi Yehuda Ben-Yishai, Ruth's father, spoke of his deceased grandchildren: "Elad, who always smiled, even when he was burned by boiling water."

Elad Fogel was buried at the Har Menuchot Cemetery in Jerusalem alongside his parents Udi and Ruth, his brother Yoav and sister Hadas. He is  survived by his siblings Tamar, 12, Ro'ie, 8 and Yishai, 2.
