Briefing on papal visit
The main press briefing on the upcoming papal visit to Israel will be held on Monday, 10 May 2009, at 16:00 at the National Media Center at the Jerusalem Municipality (6th floor).
Minister of Tourism Stas Misezhnikov, who is responsible for the government's preparations for the visit will address the briefing, alongside Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat and Nazareth Mayor Ramez Jaraisy. Also participating will be officials from the Israel Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Tourism.
The briefing will focus on the tourist aspects of the papal visit. The briefing will be in Hebrew, with simultaneous translation into English.
Pope Benedict XVI will arrive in Israel the following day (Monday, 11 May), and the visit will last until Friday, 15 May.
During the course of the week, two media centers will be available, where journalists will be able to view live broadcasts of all events related to the visit. Communication and Internet access will be provided. Briefings will be given by relevant persons.

Briefing on media arrangements
The Israel Government Press Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Israel Police representatives will on Sunday, 10 May 2009 at 10:00 give a briefing (in Hebrew) on media arrangements for Pope Benedict XVI's visit. The briefing will take place at the MFA Papal Visit Press Center at the Jerusalem City Hall, Building #1.
Police Foreign Press Spokesman Micky Rosenfeld will be available for comment and interview on police preparations for the Papal visit at the entrance to the Jerusalem Russian Compound police stataion (adjacent to City Hall), from 09:00-09:30.
