July 18, 2012 - Elior Preis, 26, of Akko was one of six people who were killed in a suicide bombing attack on a bus carrying Israelis at Sarafovo Airport in Burgas, Bulgaria.
Elior Preis boarded the flight to Burgas along with his childhood friend Maor Harush, also killed in the terror attack, and another friend, Daniel Fahima, who was seriously wounded. The three were planning on taking a six-day vacation.
Dudu Hazan, a close friend of the three, related: "The evening before the flight the three were sitting together discussing the expected vacation. They were together all the time, especially Maor and Elior. They were close friends since they were ten, and fate had decided that they will end their lives together."
For Elior, this was to be his last trip as a bachelor. Upon his return, he had planned to propose marriage to his girlfriend Yael.
Elior had recently joined the family plastics business originally established by his grandfather as marketing manager, working with his father Ya'akov, who related that the business had flourished since his son joined him. Elior had just completed his B.A. degree in business administration and economics.
Elior Preis was buried in the Nahalat Asher Cemetery.
